How to measure your pet (quick):
- Measure shoulder height: from the floor to the top of the shoulder. For comfortable passage, shoulder height should be less than the opening height (10.4 in). We recommend leaving about 1 in of clearance — ideally shoulder height ≤ 9.4 in.
- Measure body width: across the widest part of the shoulders/chest. The opening width is 11.7 in; for a comfortable fit we recommend body width ≤ 10.5 in.
- If your pet's measurements are close to these recommendations, consider allowing extra clearance (e.g., trimming long fur) or checking the pet's movement through a similar-sized opening before installing.
