- Recommended for: small dogs up to ~20 lbs — examples: Chihuahua, Pomeranian, Toy Poodle, Yorkshire Terrier, small Shih Tzu.
- Fit targets to check: body length (neck base to tail base) under ~14 inches, chest (widest point) under ~18 inches, and weight under ~20 lbs. If your dog is near these limits, the carrier will be snug.
- How to measure your dog (quick):
- Body length: measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail in inches.
- Chest girth: measure around the widest part of the ribcage (behind the front legs) in inches.
- Weight: weigh your dog in pounds (lbs).
- Quick decision rule: if your dog’s weight is under ~20 lbs, chest under ~18 in, and length under ~14 in, this carrier should fit comfortably for travel and short rests. If larger, look for a larger or structured car seat carrier.
