How to measure your dog and furniture

Measure your dog lying naturally: from the base of the neck (where a collar sits) to the base of the tail — this is the length to match to the pad's length.
Measure the widest point across the shoulders/chest for width. Allow at least 4–6 in extra on each side for coverage and movement.
For furniture or bed coverage, measure the surface area you want to protect (seat or mattress width x length) and pick a pad that covers that area plus 4–6 in overlap.
